August finds us with just five burgers left in this challenge to find the best burger in St. Louis. This time we'll be hitting up Brasserie by Niche in the Central West End, a gastropub focusing on traditional menu of French standards in addition to dishes that change daily.
Residing on that ever evolving menu is the Brasserie Burger, topped with blue d'auvergne cheese, red onion and served with fries on the side. As always I'll be ordering mine with no cheese, cooked medium rare.
We will be traveling light this month -- with just the folks who have been with me since the beginning, and I'll be hoping that we don't get made at the door when we show up. Perhaps we'll have to dig up some costumes for several members of our party - even if they are only finger mustaches drawn with black Sharpies.
